GIVING THANKS

Giving Thanks, a community Thanksgiving Dinner, will be held at the St. Marys American Legion Hall – State Route 703, in Montezuma at the Franklin Elementary School, and in Celina at the High School. Serving will be from 11 AM-2 PM. Entertainment will be provided. Food, fellowship, entertainment…it’s for everyone, and it’s free!

THANKSGIVING DAY DINNER
Jerry Lewis's McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be Thursday, November 27th from 11-2 at the Lima Veteran's Memorial Civic and Convention Center. The dinner will include traditional Thanksgiving food such as turkey, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Also, guests can take with them clothing items from Only Believe Ministries and grocery items thanks to Ray's, Monsanto Ag, the area Boy Scouts of America, and other local organizations. 

Community members donate non-perishable food items during business hours at the Boy Scout Shop at 752 Robb Avenue.

Also, on November 25 and 26, Maverick Media and Ray's Signature Store will be holding a food drive at Ray's near LCC where customers can add a $5 bag of groceries that will be donated to the dinner.

FAMILY OPEN SWIM
The Lima YWCA is hosting a Friday night family open swim! Times are 4:30-6:30 for Fridays in October and 5:00-6:30 for Fridays in November. The YWCA is at 649 West Market in Lima.
WINTER CHOIR CONCERT
On Wednesday, December 3, the Shawnee Middle School Choirs will present their annual winter concert entitled "O Sing, We Joyfully Sing." The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choirs will be presenting a variety of selections including music celebrating the holidays. The concert is free and open to the public and will begin at 7:30 PM in Shawnee High School's Hugh Downs Auditorium.
CELINA SENIOR CHAMBER CHOIR CONCERT
The Celina Senior Chamber Choir presents Charles Strouse's Nightingale on Friday, December 5 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, December 6 at 8:00 PM.

Performances will be held at the Ed. Complex Auditorium. All seats are $8. Call 419-586-8300 ex. 1200 for tickets.
CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN
The 29th annual Christmas party for Underprivileged Children will be Sunday, December 7th at 2:00 at the VFW Post 6772 Home in Spencerville.

Sponsors purchase a gift for a child, wrap it, and bring it to the VFW Post Home for the Christmas Party. Those wanting to be sponsors can call the VFW Post Home at 419-647-4144.

This year's children will be from the Samaritan House, Crossroads Crisis Center, Van Wert Children's Services, Allen County Children's Services, Auglaize County Children's Services, Mercer County Children's Services, and other needy children from area homes.
HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR CONCERT
On Wednesday, December 10, the Shawnee High School Choirs will present their annual winter concert entitled, "Sing Joy!". The program will feature the Women's and A Cappella Choirs as well as the A Cappella Men's and Women's Choruses. The concert will be at Shawnee High Schools' Hugh Downs Auditorium and will begin at 7:30. The cost is $3. Proceeds will be used to fund the choral department.
NATIVITY DISPLAY
First Mennonite Church in Bluffton, Ohio, invites you to "Come to the Stable," an indoor walk-through display of nativities to be held Wednesday, December 10 from 3-8 p.m. and Thursday, December 11 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Admission is free.  Monetary donations invited for the Bluffton Food Pantry.

CHRISTMAS AT KIDSTUFF THEATER

Lima Community Church Presents: “Christmas at Kidstuff Theater”, where kids take their parents to church.  This is a free Christmas production for children and their families.

Three Shows: December 13th @6:00 p.m., December 14th @ 9:00 and 10:45 a.m.  Nursery available for children 2 and under, all other children must be accompanied by an adult.

CHOIR CONCERT
The Celina High School Choral Department presents Handel's Messiah on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:30 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina. The choir is open to all interested singers.
